Home Exterior
When selling your home, most people are concentrated solely on the interior of the house.
But remember, the outside of the house is the initial impression a potential buyer will view. That said, here are a few ideas that may help.
Roof Cleaning & Gutter Cleaning
Gutters should be in good working order and free of leaves and roof droppings. I recommend removing all debris on the roof. If your home has a northern exposure issue, it can be a prevalent problem in our area—take steps to clean the roof by removing moss and mildew. Many buyers may view a moss-covered roof as unappealing, and in poor condition, If your roof is continually collecting twigs leaves or small limbs, chances are you may need to cut back some tree limbs or large bushes. In addition to cutting back on the roof debris, cutting back limbs or shrubs away from the structure will reduce the chance of damage and or roof shingles from being lifted.
Driveway, Walkways, & Entrances and Decks
Pressure washing the home is a great way to turn a potential looker into a buyer! I recommend hitting the Driveway, Walkways, Entrances, and Deck. Additionally, the driveway and walkways should always be clean and free of weeds. The more detail you put into the presentation, the higher the potential yield you can get for the home.
Property
For those of you with manicured lawns showcasing them would be helpful pulling weeds and cutting before a showing enhances the appearance.
For those with a more natural setting as years go by nature will take over, it may be necessary to cut back vegetation and expose your property a bit more.
